Head coach Mike Friday named his 12-man squad Wednesday for the upcoming stops in Australia and New Zealand on the HSBC Sevens World Series. Back in the fold are Carlin Isles and Brett Thompson, both of whom are coming off of injury. They were unavailable for the first two tournaments of the season.

Missing is Maka Unufe, who has been a regular selection as the frontline center. He is nursing an injury himself. Martin Iosefo can certainly cover the midfield, having played there most of his international career, though the coaching staff sees him as a forward long-term. Kevon Williams, appearing on his second-consecutive leg, can also cover there. Williams played some scrumhalf in the opening tournaments, and he's got plenty of experience at wing.

"Kevon is an all-rounder who is capable of playing across the back line," said Friday in a press release. "He can bring additional speed, but he also has fast feet and acceleration as well as distribution. He has a very good character and work ethic."

Still not back on the team are embattled veterans Zack Test and Garrett Bender, who have taken a break since the Olympics.
