For the second year in a row, an impressive panel of speakers will lead a rugby seminar in conjunction with the Penn Mutual Collegiate Rugby Championship. The event, which has become a valuable attraction in its own right, is Friday, June 3rd at 1:30 p.m. at the Sheraton Downtown in Philadelphia and is free to college and high school coaches, players and administrators.

The seminar is broken into three discussions – “The Rugby Athlete”, “Program Building”, “The U.S. Pathway and Olympics – Youth, High School, College and Professional”, and is designed to have a question and answer component, with attendees having the chance to interact with the panelists.

Discussing the first will be Cal associate head coach and former Eagles head man and player Tom Billups, Dartmouth and All-American strength and conditioning coach James Willocks, Gonzaga High School director of rugby Lee Kelly and Team USA captain Madison Hughes.

Addressing program building are Cal head coach and former Eagle coach and player Jack Clark, Life athletic director, former coach and Eagle player Dan Payne, Malvern Prep athletic director Kurt Ruch and Kutztown recreation services director Amy Sandt.

Talking on the US Pathway and the Olympics will be USA Rugby high performance director and former head 7s coach Alex Magleby, current 7s coach and former England and Kenya head man Mike Friday and Rugby World Cup general manager and Harlequins general manager and COO Ross Young.

The seminar is followed by a first-drink-free networking session sponsored by Rhino Rugby at the hotel bar.
