Cal ran out a team of freshmen and sophomores against Loyola Marymount in a
friendly Sunday, beating the Southern Californian team 95-3.

School champs Jesuit, started for the Bears. James Poindexter scored three
tries for Cal while Hunter Frisinger and Carl Hendricksen scored twice in
Cal Poly scored four tries to UCSB’s three to down the

Wheeling Jesuit University in Wheeling, WV has hired Eric Jerpe as head
coach of their newly-formed varsity men’s rugby program.
Jerpe, who has worked as coach at California University (Pa) and with USA
Rugby in youth development, was urged to apply by high school coaches in
his region, and has signed on as their full-time varsity coach.
