Belmont Shore finished atop Pool A with a 3-0 record Saturday at Founder’s
Field in Pittsburgh, Pa. While the day started easily enough for Shore, it
didn’t finish that way, as the San Diego Old Aztecs, who needed a win to
advance, delivered a good fight in the final round.
The defending champs stumbled a bit out of the gate, with knock-ons
featuring heavily in their match... Read More

Pool C is clearly stratified, with Seattle-OPSB and WE Rugby at one level
and Middlesex and NOVA at the other. The difference is expectation. WE and
Seattle are expected to get through to the Cup Rounds, while Middlesex and

In the fifth and final Northeast qualifier, Old Blue defeated Middlesex
twice to clinch first place in the Northeast Region.
Only four squads entered the qualifier held on Middlesex’s home turf. Long
Island, who was the only team that could mathematically catch Middlesex for
the second spot at nationals, elected to withdraw from this tournament.
Thus, at the beginning of play... Read More
