The rugby portion of the 2014 Youth Olympic Games in Nanjing have come to a close. The Americans looked fairly strong in the first half, keeping the score at 7-0 until Australia scored with no time left to expand their lead to 14-0 for halftime. The United States Boys Youth Olympians finally found their stride. After going 0-5 in pool-play, which included a 23-10 loss to Japan, the Americans defeated the Japanese 29-12. They illustrated excellent 7s and can comfortably end the Youth Olympic Games on a high note.
