The DII College playoff bracket has been unveiled by USA Rugby and almost all of the teams have been determined. The bracket consists of four regional sites with a handful of play in games to determine the final 16 teams.

The four locations for the regionals are the Naval Academy, in Annapolis, Md. Kutztown University, in Kutztown Pa, Chciago. Il and Cincinnati, Oh.These games will take place on November 18-19 at their respective locations.

This regional features the winners of Rugby Northeast, Norwich, against the winner of a play in game between the Cardinal Conference number two (NC State) and Southern number three (East Carolina). Norwich won a pair of games this weekend over Umass-Lowell and Southern Connecticut to claim the Rugby Northeast title.. After losing to Norwich 42-5 to start the season, SoConn played a 35-33 nail biter with last year's final four participant.

East Carolina defeated Coastal Carolina 25-21 to lcok up third place in the southern Conference and will play NC State this upcoming weekend for the right to play Norwich.

Annapolis, Md.

Only one of the two games in this region is confirmed so far. UNC-Charlotte took home the Southern Conference title with a 36-10 win over Furman. The Huskies defeated fellow undefeated team York 29-12 to take home the conference.

VMI will await the winner of the Tri State Conference. The Military Institute avenged an early season loss to NC State with a 40-22 victory in the conference finals this week. The Tri State is down two to teams and will play out next weekend. RPI defeated Siena 27-17 while Sacred Heart edged Marist 24-12.

Cincinnati Oh.

The defending national champions, Wisconsin Whitewater lead this region. The Warhawks won a pair of games over, the weekend to win the WIIL. They defeated UW-Milwaukee 71-0 on Saturday and beat Illinois State 50-24 to win the conference. They will take on the Gateway champions Pitt State.

The Fighting Penguins find themselves in a new position having to win a play in game after not winning their conference. They will take on the WIIL third place, UW-Milwaukee this weekend.

It will be the first time in years that both Whitewater and Duluth will both not be in the final four. The two could very well meet in the round of eight to determine who goes to the final four.
