Division II is reaching playoff time. Our rankings give some consideration to winning your conference but some teams who are ranked higher than others will miss out on the playoffs because they play tougher competition.

The WIIL has four teams in the top 25. The conference is one of the strongest and has three playoff teams. Whitewater has been the consensus number one all season.

A couple of conference finals saw higher ranked teams lose. VMI defeated NC State after falling to them earlier this year. The Military Institute move up to number five.

Bloomsburg won the MARC title over York and come into the rankings at 16. That conference has been a bit undervalued this year and it will be interesting to see how the Huskies match up with an impressive UNC-Charlotte.

Southern Connecticut’s stock rose with a decisive victory over Middlebury and a close encounter with number two Norwich. They move up to number nine.
