Cal State Long Beach and Utah Valley University will meet each other Sunday after both won DII college games Saturday in the national Round of 16.

UVU took care of Santa Rosa Junior College 30-5 and really weren't in danger.

Dallan Barnes and Jared Laufiso scored tries in quick succession in the first half, and that 10-0 lead held until Collin Crandall scored to make it 15-0 in the 46th minute. UVU never looked back.

CSULB edged Sierra College 14-11 in a much tighter game Saturday. Long Beach actually never trailed in this game, but it was a tough one all the same. Golden Williams scored a try at 16 minutes, converted by fullback Greg Daniel. That lead held up despite two penalty kicks from Sierra Keenan Mayfield.

The teams changed ends with the score 7-6, and it stayed that way until the 63rd minute, when CSULB flyhalf Sean Mazer scored. Daniel's conversion put his side up two scores at 14-6. That was enough. Sub prop Joseph McGill scored for Sierra with time winding down, but they didn't have enough time to get that crucial next score.
