NSCRO Powered by Penn Mutual, like the other college divisions are coming down to the wire in some conferences while others are just getting under way.

The most notable game may have come from Iowa Central. Although it was not a conference game, the community college defeated Lindenwood-Belleville, a DIAA team, 27-18. Iowa Central has been winning by large amounts and should contend for a title once again this year.

Salve Regina continues to dominate the division and has locked up the top spot as the conference moves into playoffs in two weeks.

Colby College and Maine-Farmington are on a collision course for the top spot in NERFU. Farmington defeated Bowdoin this weekend to move even with the idle Colby at 4-0. The teams will square off next weekend.

In the Mid-Atlantic Gold Division, Neumann pulled off a surprise victory over undefeated Bucknell.  With the win Neumann moved to 2-3 on the season. Susquehanna is the only undefeated in the division.

In the Potomac Rugby Conference, Catholic escaped a scare from Loyola 33-31 to remain unbeaten. Frostburg State remains right on their tales, with Loyola sitting in third. The top two teams advance to a playoff with the EPRU on November 18.

Xavier remains undefeated after a 69-5 victory over Kent State. Southern Indiana remains hot on their tales after beating Western Kentucky 53-21.

Comments

How some of these schools are in NSCRO is a head scratcher. Cleveland State and Akron have enrollments of over 17,000. UNCG and UNCC have enrollments of over 20,000.
