Oklahoma beat its second Heart of America team in non-conference play Saturday, downing Arkansas 45-15 in Norman, Okla. to stay undefeated on the season. OU beat Missouri earlier in the fall.
OU caused itself some trouble in the opening 40 minutes, committing 19 first-half penalties. The Sooners led just 12-5 at the break, but cleaned up their game in the second half and ran away from the Razorbacks.
“I was impressed with the team. Gave up 190 meters in the first half off penalties and only gave up five points," said OU coach Jason Horowitz. "Our captain, Mike Al-JIboori, had a discussion and demonstration with the ref at halftime, and that ended the wrongfully called penalties. We only have four cited penalties in the seconnd half at the breakdown."
Oklahoma plays its conference game of the season against TCU Saturday in Norman.
