Washington State University, the 2010 DII women's champions, will return to the national semis after beating Wyoming 34-7 Sunday at Stanford University's Steuber Stadium.

WSU was led once again by their outstanding threequarter combo of Alexis and Megan Bonny. Megan played center on Saturday and moved to fullback against Wyoming, while Alexis patrolled flyhalf. Alexis scored three tries on the day, and Megan one, while Shelby Mastroianni and Trelby Perez also claimed tries. Anne Peterson kicked two conversions.

Capping the trend in several DII games this weekend, the losing team managed to score right at the end, but that was it. Wyoming scrumhalf Megan Degenfelder touched down at 80 minutes and converted her own score.

WSU joins Norwich, Winona State and Shippensburg in the final four group, which will play May 11 and 12 to decide the champions, again at Stanford.
