Snow Cancels European Match - The European Challenge Cup match between the Northampton Saints against the Timisoara Saracens from Romania was postponed due to a heavy snowstorm in Bucharest that covered the pitch. Efforts to clear the field of a few feet of snow met with negative results. Northampton are second in their group with two wins from three games, while Timisoara are bottom with three losses. Saints chief executive Mark Darbon said, "Unfortunately the weather won out today."

USA Rugby Invitees for All-American Winter Camp - USA Rugby announced the names of 178 players invited to four, age-grade camps at the Chula Vista Training Center, California, from December 26 to December 31. These include Girls and Boys in the U18 and U19 categories. The U18 Boys will play Canada and the U19 Boys face Belmont Shore RFC.

Premiership Rugby Agreement - Premiership Rugby in England is expected to complete a $290.0 million contract with a private equity firm who will own 35-percent of the League.  There are thirteen shareholders comprised of the 12 clubs in the top flight plus London Irish. Each club would receive $23.0 million in the deal.
