FRANCE U-20 CELEBRATE VICTORY

Eagles host Scotland in Houston - The USA, fresh off a rousing 62-13 rout of Canada, welcome sixth ranked Scotland to BBVA Compass Stadium, Houston, Texas (22,000 capacity). The game is scheduled for Saturday, June 16, at 8 p.m. CT. The match will be streamed on FloRugby and broadcast live via CBS Sports.

Scotland are 4-1 in their last five Tests:

Win - 32-26 v. France

Win - 25-13 v. England

Loss - 8-28 v. Ireland

Win - 29-27 v. Italy

Win - 48-10 v. Canada

USA Junior All-Americans Fall to Canada - Last week, the newly assembled USA Junior All-Americans fell to Canada 60-10 in the first of two matches for the North American spot in the second tier World Rugby U-20 Trophy Championship. The second match will be Saturday, June 16 at Rice University, College Station, Texas, at 3:30 CT.

The continuing dilemma for these Junior Eagles is that only one country advances by region into the Trophy event. Thus, if the USA cannot move past Canada, they will never earn a berth in the second-tier U-20 event. The Eagles only hope is for Canada to win the next U-20 Trophy Championship and then advance into the annual U-20 top tier tournament. The USA would then qualify as the best squad in the North American region. Without playing other U-20 Trophy fifteens, the younger Eagles will never experience a higher level of competition.
