USA Rugby announced Friday the broadcasting and timing details for the Eagles' summer tests against Italy and Russia June 18th and 25th, respectively. Therugbychannel.tv, an over-the-top subscription service created by USA Rugby's for-profit arm Rugby International Marketing, will stream the games exclusively.

The USA will open the summer against Italy at San Jose's Avaya Stadium at 9 p.m. ET, and they'll host Russia a week later at Sacramento's Bonney Field at 10 p.m. ET. Bonney Field is also the home of PRO Rugby's Sacramento team.

For the new streaming site, these games are their first live international matches. The site has streamed a few European professional matches live and currently boasts a deep archive of Eagle tests going back to the '80s.

"We are excited to showcase these amazing matches on TheRugbyChannel.tv," said USA Rugby CEO Nigel Melville. "It is a historic moment for TheRugbyChannel.tv to host their first ever live stream of an international test match - and even more so that it will feature the USA Eagles! I know our fans will be happy to be able to view these matches from anywhere in the world, even if they're on their phones."

While I understand trying to prop up your for-profit business, I would think you might want the matches played where the most eyeballs can tune in.
