Newly minted Eagle lock Greg Peterson has signed on with Leicester. The 6'8" Australian second rower with American parents made his debut for the Eagles last month, playing well in the absence of the team's English-based professionals. The international cap helped free-up Peterson to be signed by a Premiership team, and he joins fellow Eagle Blaine Scully with the Tigers.

“We are looking for locks at the top end of the market, of which there are not many about, or young guys to bring through,” Leicester director of Rugby Rich Cockerill told the Leicester Mercury.

“He has just played for America, which gets him into the country through that, and he is a very big, physical lad. There is still some development to go but you cannot coach size. We will see where he gets to. He is a project for us, and is here until the end of the season."
