USA Head Coach Ric Suggitt is planning to bring in large groups of players to create a series of mini-tournaments at the Olympic Training Center.

The three or four weekends should get the USA players ready for Dubai and give Suggitt some valuable selection footage.

This is all happening right in the meat of the Women's DI and Premier League season. Despite this, Suggitt said clubs have been enormously supportive of the idea.

The Berkeley All Blues, for example, will send five players to the OTC on a weekend when they have a league game, and Head Coach, former USA 15s Head Coach Kathy Flores, asked Suggitt what else she could do for the program.

The games won't just be training sessions for the USA players in camp - they could be auditions for national team spots. It is possible, also, that the USA team is looking to expand the number of players in residency in Chula Vista.

Currently there are nine players under contract with the USA.

Of those, eight, Vanesha, McGee, Kimber Rozier, Bui Baranivala, Katie Dowty, Jill Potter, Deven Owsiany, Kelly Griffin, and Kaelene Lundstrum have been in camp for several weeks working on strength and conditioning.

Meanwhile, former USA captain Christy Ringgenberg is joining the squad as of this writing, and Nathalie Marchino will join soon to make it a round ten players in a full-time training environment.
