Wales - Ireland lineup

The Irish ran in five tries in an impressive win over Wales 35-21 in Millennium Stadium Cardiff with 75,000 attending. The victory added to Ireland's undefeated skein that has continued successfully through last autumn with home test match wins against Australia and South Africa.

Aspirations in Eire for Rugby World Cup glory are high, especially because Ireland has failed to make the semi-final round in the past seven tournaments, the only top nation failing to advance.

This Irish team has bonded together over the past two-years and demonstrated cohesive team play by domineering the rucks and scrums against a Welsh team that started many new players.  Wales unveiled their new look kit for the upcoming RWC.

Ireland led 25-7 at the break, and never was challenged in the second half.

These teams will meet again in Dublin, August 29.
