After a long and oft-interrupted comeback from injury, previous USA scrumhalf Robbie Shaw is back to full fitness and will start for Bristol in the British & Irish Cup Final Saturday at 5:15 PM local time.

Four weeks ago he started and played the full game in Bristol’s win against Nottingham in the championship playoff, a key event for the scrumhalf.  Bristol wanted to bring him back slowly nevertheless and used him for only 40 minutes against Worcester the next time out. Shaw set up Bristol’s only try.

Then came his man of the match performance in the B&I Cup semi against Pontypridd.

Shaw received notices in game reports saying he orchestrated the Bristol victory.

Bristol will take on Bedford, which features the top scorer in the RFU Championship, Canadian international James Pritchard.
