OMBAC flyhalf Zach Pangelinan scored a try at the death and kicked the all-too-crucial conversion to lift OMBAC to a 29-28 victory over Santa Monica Saturday in Pacific Rugby Premiership action.
In an exciting and back-and-forth match, the teams traded the lead, but it seemed, with time essentially up and the Dolphins leading 28-22, that Santa Monica would take this one. Pangelinan, who had kept his team in it with the four penalty goals, then zipped in for the winner.
Wing Shane Moise and sub Micah Schrimpf scored tries for OMBAC, while Pangelinan contributed 19 points with a try, a conversion, and four penalties.
This is OMBAC's first PRP victory as they had a by last week. Santa Monica loses their second close game.
