Pollard, SA Flyhalf

The final games of the 2014 Junior World Championship will be played, Friday, June 20 in host country New Zealand.  The title will be decided between England and South Africa. England advanced by beating Ireland 42-15, and the Baby Boks defeated arch rival New Zealand 32-25 for the second time in nine days. England will seek to repeat 2013’s title, while South Africa was victorious in 2012.The star again for South Africa was Handré Pollard at flyhalf who scored 17-points, including one try. Pollard has a definite possibility of being selected to the Springboks’s 2015 RWC side.

The six games will determine the final standings from first place to 12th. The match with most significance is the 11th and 12th place contest of Italy versus Fiji. The loser will be dropped from the 2015 JWC Championship, a potentially disastrous result for Italy, which is the tournament host in 2015.
