Italy Women

The third round of the RBS Six Nation's Women's Championship saw England take undisputed charge of first place with six points on the heels of 13-9 victory over Ireland.

Surprisingly, France lost to Wales 10-8 away, sending Les Bleues and Wales into a two-way tie for second with four points.

Italy garnered their first tournament points by easily defeating Scotland 22-7, which is 0-3 so far this year.

The action returns in two weeks when, importantly, France and England clash.

Italy and Wales qualify for the 2017 Women's Rugby World Cup in Ireland.  They join seven other qualifiers, including 2014 champions England, and Canada, France, Ireland, New Zealand, USA and Australia. There remain three additional spots, which will be filled via qualifying tournaments.
