Mike Friday has named his squad for the upcoming Paris stop on the HSBC Sevens World Series May 13-15, and there are some changes. Pinkelman and Palamo come back, and Ebner earns his first outright selection.

The New England Patriot did play on the Asian leg, but he was last-minute injury cover for Carlin Isles, who still is not with the team. This marks the first time Friday appointed to a 12-man squad in advance of a tour.

Pinkelman missed the Asian tournaments only for his studies at Colorado State. Prior to that he was picked for four-straight competitions.

Palamo's absence was longer. He was selected for Cape Town, Wellington and Sydney consecutively. He was then dropped for Las Vegas and filled in the week after in Vancouver after the team suffered some injuries in the forwards. He was not picked for Hong Kong and Singapore.

Friday is expected to change up the rosters between Paris and the Series finale in London in an effort to get a last look at his player pool in a competitive environment before he has to pick a squad for the Olympics.

"There may well be changes to the squad that comes to London to ensure all get what we need from the two weeks as we build towards Rio," Friday said. "However, we have high expectations of ourselves and expect to be competing both weekends, and are not looking at this as a split tour of performance and development."
