The DI Rankings featured a bunch of high profile matchups last week. One game upended the rankings while a few others made us feel very good about our rankings.

Cal remains atop the rankings despite a loss to British Columbia. The Bears have hardly been tested by an American side this season, and this tight loss did not warrant any movement.

St. Mary’s did make its case to be number one overall with a decisive victory over BYU at home. It makes the upcoming matchup between the Gaels and the Bears even more intriguing.

Life did its part this weekend and could contend with either of the top two. The Running Eagles blasted a formidable Arkansas State and slides into number three.

The biggest mover of the weekend was San Diego State. The Aztecs defeated Arizona seeing them move up seven spots from 19 to 12 overall. Arizona falls to 14.

Cal Poly reenters the rankings after beating Santa Clara. Its movement, however, is due in large part to San Diego State. Cal Poly lost a narrow 13-8 game to the Aztecs so the close result merits a better ranking.
