Naya Tapper for the Fourth Try

The USA Women advance to the semi-final round of the 2017 Women's World Cup as the fourth and final team.

Losing to England 47-26, allowed the Eagles to pick up an unnecessary bonus point (four tries in a game), which might have been important if Canada or Ireland also achieved bonus points. But New Zealand routed Canada and France easily beat Ireland, with neither losing side gaining a bonus point. With all three losers at 2-1, the Eagles advanced with 11 total points.

So, it's on to the semis against New Zealand on August 22 in Belfast. France will play champion England.

Congratulations to the team and Coach Peter Steinberg.
