PRO Rugby try leader Aaron “Spike Davis” has reportedly been banned for four years by World Rugby for doping. Davis popped positive on a January test, the report says, for metabolites.
A former defensive tackle at SMU, Davis exploited a massive size advantage as a wing, pulverizing his way to 14 tries for the second-place Ohio Aviators. Mysteriously, Davis hadn’t joined any of his former PRO colleagues in Major League Rugby.
Davis had been bandied about as a potential Eagle and attended some camps, but he never earned an international cap in 7s or 15s.
