Americas Rugby Challenge - Two matches are scheduled for Saturday, August 25, in Colombia at the Estádio Cincuentenario in Medellin when host Colombia welcome Guyana and Paraguay meet Mexico in the doubleheader.
The U20 Trophy - The second tier of U20 matches starts this weekend in Bucharest, Romania, in the eight team Trophy contest. The USA is not a participant and will not become an entry until it beats Canada in the annual, two-game North American qualifier. The Trophy line up begins with:
Samoa vs. Hong Kong
Uruguay vs. Fiji
Portugal vs. Canada
Namibia vs. Romania
World Rugby should consider expanding the Trophy to twelve teams, currently, the number for the top tier U20 Championship. This would allow the USA, Russia, Spain, Kenya, Brazil, etc. to send additional boys youth sides to a broadened tournament.
Australia and New Zealand Women - The second match of the Laurie O'Reilly Memorial event moves to Eden Park Stadium, New Zealand this weekend. The Black Ferns won handily last week to take a one game lead against the Wallaroos.
Australia and New Zealand Men - The Wallabies will try to beat the number one ranked All Blacks at home in the second round of the Bledisole Cup. The Kiwis have won the trophy on 46 occasions while Australia have been victors only 12 times. The third game will take place in Japan.
Argentina and South Africa - The second match in the southern hemisphere Rugby Championship moves to Buenos Aires when the Pumas host the Springboks at Estádio Malvinas. Last week, South Africa won easily to hold a one game lead.
Midwest Women's Division II West - The season begins with the Milwaukee Scylla playing the Palmer College Dragons.
