Not all, but certainly the vast majority. We at RUGBYMag.com recognize this and accept that it is highly likely that our All-D1-A team for 2012 will be heavily populated with players from the teams that made the Quarterfinals.

So we decided to pick a Best of the Rest - the best players from the teams that didn't make the playoffs. These players all showed strong play and hard work, and we think are all good enough to be considered for higher honors as their rugby careers advance.

In addition, selection to this team does not preclude said player from being on the full All-D1-A team.

We chose a starting 15 and a set of reserves. You'll notice that most of these players came from the West and East conferences. That makes sense, as those conferences were more competitive than the South, for example, and had more teams. The players named per team in the conference don't vary wildly.
