The College Premier Division quarterfinals went as most experts (and even the RUGBYMag.com staff!) expected. Cal won relatively comfortably, but Life did themselves proud. BYU won comfortably, although Navy battled until the end.

St. Marys and Arkansas State were close, with the advantage going to Arkansas State because they were at home. The only surprise in terms of the ranking and in terms of the seedings was Utah defeating Army at West Point. That win moves Utah up past Army.

Should Utah moving up drag Arizona State or Air Force up because of their close losses to Utah? Probably not. Both are pretty high up to start with.
