The DI rankings saw some movement this week with a handful of games being played and a tweak in the polling. To make the DI rankings more accurate, Rugby Today has added coaches from across the DI spectrum, bringing the total to nine. Including RT staff, there are now 11 pollsters from nine different states.

Some of the movement reflects that change while several of the teams have moved to strong early season play.

Iona cracked the top 25 with two strong performances to start the year. The Gaels blanked James Madison this week and with a win over St. Joe’s replaces Colorado State in the rankings.

Army had two strong wins over the weekend but the top eight remains strong, so the Black Knights stay put.  AIC, who lost to Army, drops a couple spots to number 20. The Yellow Jackets hung tough for a half but Army pulled away in the second stanza.

Air Force moved up a number of spots after a strong win over Utah State. The Zoomies have an experienced squad with a touch of young athleticism and will make them very competitive this season.
