There was not much movement in the DI rankings this week despite a number of tops teams playing. The top of the table all won impressively leaving little margin for movement.

Cal put on a clinic against Utah, blowing them out early in the game. Cal remains our consensus number one while Utah drops out of the rankings.

BYU got its season off to a quick start with a pair of convincing wins out west. Despite missing a few players to the national team, the Cougars slaughtered Cal Poly and defeated San Diego State. They remain at number 2.

St. Mary’s reached the century mark against Santa Clara and look very tough at the moment, Along with Life, these four teams are heads above everybody else.

After nearly seven months without playing a match, Clemson won its first match in convincing fashion. The Tigers defeated Clemson 48-10 and enter the rankings at number 25.
