The College season is in full swing now and tough teams are playing each other on a weekly basis. With that, we saw a bit of movement in the rankings thanks to some intriguing results.
The Mid-South started play this weekend and there were a couple of exciting games. Life held off a late comeback form Lindenwood to remain at number three. Lindenwood made the comeback on the road, in a tough venue, and is rewarded by hopping Penn State and moving up to number six.
The other game in the conference saw Clemson upend Davenport with a thrilling come from behind victory. It caused some problems for the committee because Clemson has not played much and Davenport beat Arkansas State in the fall. We currently have Davenport drop a few spots to 17 and Clemson coming in at 22. It was the first run out for the Michigan squad so we are waiting to see the conference play out a bit before Clemson moves more. Clemson has a smaller body of work this year so we will see as they progress in a tough Mid-South Conference.
BYU got back in the win column with a pair of impressive wins. The Cougars blasted Colorado and Air Force and remain at number four.
The most interesting non-conference matchup came between Arkansas State and Indiana. The game was close for most of the match but the Red Wolves pulled away in the final 20 minutes for the win. It was a nice bounce back win after the Life loss last week. Meanwhile, Indiana drops one spot behind San Diego State.
