The DII playoffs provide us ample insight into our rankings and not one higher ranked team lost this weekend other than Rhode Island. There were five matchups between two ranked teams all of the better-ranked teams won.
As a result, there was not much movement in the rankings. Grand Valley State dropped a couple of spots after losing to Illinois State but the rest of the teams remain consistent.
UNC-Charlotte knocked off VMI on the road after coming back from a double-digit deficit and North Dakota State defeated UW-Milwaukee.
Both Rugby Northeast teams defeated ranked opponents, with Bentley beating Cortland 31-19 and Southern Connecticut winning a thriller over York.
After a whirlwind week, Middlebury made its way back into the rankings. The Vermont school knocked off Rhode Island and then Plymouth State to earn a spot in the top 16.
With the round of 16 tomorrow, will our rankings continue to hold up?
