There were only a handful of games in DII this past weekend so most of the rankings remained the same.

Missouri S&T defeated previously ranked Principia 50-3 and is the biggest mover of the week. The Miners, who were previously unranked, slot in at number 16. They take the place of Principia, who drops out all together.

The other big change is Plymouth State was removed. The Colonial Coast Conference has elected to go under the NSCRO umbrella so Plymouth should not have been considered for the rankings.

Providence, who finished 7-1 last season slots in at number 25 to fill the void.

Furman opened up its season with a strong performance, blanking Western Carolina 50-0. Western State was the only other ranked team to get a win. Both teams, however, remain in the same position from last week.

DII begins in earnest this weekend so we should have a better idea of where teams stand in 2017.
