The speedster told RUGBYMag.com that he expects to sign a contract with Heineken Cup champ and Top 14 finalist Toulon in July. Isles said terms of the contract have been agreed to, but that he has to wait to officially sign until July, which makes sense given that he’s under contract with the 7s Eagles through the 7s World Cup at the end of June.

Some early rumors put Isles in Ireland or Japan next season, but the writing was scribbled on the wall when he signed with an agent who operates out of France around the beginning of the year.

Isles said his contract will be for one year, with a second year being negotiable. He also said his contract would allow for him to be released for all nine of the IRB 7s World Series stops, somewhat akin to Chris Wyles’s first contract with Saracens.

“If I end up going there and everything keeps on going as smooth as it is, I’ll get released for the 7s team,” said Isles. “So that’s a blessing, too. It’s come along so fast, and I can’t believe it. I’m thankful for it. It’s been crazy…I just want to develop a little more and get better and bring whatever I got into the 7s.”

Isles, who still hasn't been playing rugby for even a full year, said he plans to make the move across the pond and get settled sometime in July.
