There always are. Don't forget that players such as James Gillenwater, Paul Emerick, Matt Huckaby, and Hayden Smith all emerged out of relatively obscurity to become national team players, in large part thanks to their performances with the All Americans.
Conversely, some highly-regarded college players have struggled at this level. (There's also the well-known case of Kevin Swiryn, who struggled for the All Americans because he was sick, but, given a shot with the USA 7s team anyway, became the captain.)
This time? Look for the more obscure-college players to jump into the fray quickly. It's distinctly possible that those players from supposed lesser schools will be in the starting lineup this weekend.
