USA fullback Blaine Scully is on his way to the UK to join the Leicester Tigers in a trial.

Scully is taking part in an extended trial with the storied English club, and as a result will, with permission from the Eagles, arrive in USA camp a couple of days late.

Scully, 25, has started at fullback for the USA seven times, and has four other caps as a sub. He has also played 7s for the USA in the 2011 Pan-Am Games and in seven IRB Tournaments.

Should he do well in the trial with Leicester, and should his US citizenship not prove an obstacle, he could be signed and would then, certainly, not be available for the 7s team.
