The Eagles will train this week in Glendale and then move on to Houston this coming weekend in preparation for their June 8 match with Ireland. Players who were not available for last week’s match against Canada are expected to join the squad shortly.

Some of these players are due in Glendale, and others will finish up their rehab or their IRB-mandated stand-down time before getting back on the field.

Overseas pros Chris Wyles and Scott LaValla and injured Mike Petri (thumb) are expected to join the team at the end of this week. Chris Biller (foot) and Shaun Davies (paperwork) are in camp now, with Biller working hard to be fit for the Ireland match.

Cal captain Seamus Kelly is expected to return to work with Cal’s 7s team for the USA 7s CRC. Meanwhile, West Point flyhalf Will Holder should be joining Eagles camp soon.

Samua Manoa and Taku Ngwenya will be with the Barbarians as they take on the British & Irish Lions in Hong Kong this coming weekend. Then they will fly directly to Houston to join the Eagles.

Not in camp is Inaki Basauri, who is injured.
