Tuilevuka left this past Saturday’s game between Montpellier and Toulon with a groin injury – an injury that still requires treatment – but told RUGBYMag.com that the next morning he was surprised to be feeling intense pain in his arm.

“It was so bad I couldn’t push myself out of bed,” the USA center said.

Tuilevuka was X-rayed and was found to have broken a bone in his wrist. He is in a cast and will miss Montpellier’s playoff run. He will also miss the Churchill Cup, but has been told he should be ready for USA games later in the summer.

Meanwhile he is due to have an MRI on his groin muscle this week.

“I am unhappy because I wanted to help the team in the playoffs and I wanted to play in the Churchill Cup,” Tuilevuka said. “Now I just have to work to stay in shape and be ready to push for a place in the World Cup.”
