The team assembles immediately after the USA 15s team camp ends – May 8 at the Olympic Training Center in Chula Vista. It’s not surprise that Head Coach Al Caravelli will bring in players who are at the 15s training.

Caravelli told RUGBYMag.com Premier that he expects this to be a highly competitive camp, possibly the most competitive ever. Nineteen or 20 players are expected to be brought in, of which only two will have no experience in a USA 7s camp. One of those is an easy guess – a player Caravelli has wanted all season but has been injured.

Some players are still out with injury, but at least one injured earlier this year has a shot at being healthy enough to be in camp. Another prodigal son is probably back, and it seems as many as half of the camp will have spent the weekend with the 15s team.

With all those players coming in, it is highly possible that one of the players on the most recent squad that won the Bowl in Adelaide will not make the trip to London and Edinburgh.

So … special question to RUGBYMag.com Premier readers – what’s your best current USA 7s lineup?
