The Northside Tigers have takent the #4 seed from the Pacific Coast in the DI club playoffs, as they defeated the East Palo Alto Bulldogs 23-21 in a challenge match in Reno, Nev. Saturday.

The Tigers were the #2 team out of Utah and had the right to play the #3 team out of NorCal (EPA) for the 4th seed from the Pacific Coast. EPA led 21-14 with time winding down, but the Tigers kept the ball and after several phases of play scored to make it 21-21. With overtime beckoning, the Tigers made the difficult conversion to win the match.

The Tigers now get to travel to Southern California to play Belmont Shore in the Round of 32 next week.

Belmont Shore had already sewn up first place in SoCal, but beat Los Angeles this weekend anyway 29-17. Meanwhile Santa Monica beat Santa Barbara 59-10 to secure 3rd in SoCal, and OMBAC has already clinched 2nd.

So the CR1 playoff matchups for May 7 are:
Northside Tigers at Belmont Shore
Sacramento Lions at OMBAC
Santa Monica at Provo
Los Angeles at Olympic Club
