A wild DI season in the Pacific Coast ended in sufficiently wild fashion Saturday, as three teams confirmed playoff spots.

The Utah Brothers defeated Provo 41-10 to complete their two-game sweep of their in-state rivals, and secure the Utah championship and the #2 seed coming from the PCRFU.

The EPA Bulldogs won 33-19 over SFGG, and that result served to give the Bulldogs an undefeated season, and also, in conjunction with other matches, eliminate SFGG from playoff contention.

Those other matches were Sacramento Lions against the Sacramento Capitals and Olympic Club against San Mateo.

The LIons made the playoffs with a 50-30 defeat of the Capitals, while Olympic Club dominated the win-and-in clash with San Mateo 41-0.

The O-Club v. San Mateo game was marred by some ill discipline which led to two red cards for San Mateo. After another player started throwing fists around, referee Tom Zanarini decided to call the game 20 minutes early.

Kort Schubert was Man of the Match for Olympic Club, which takes 2nd in Northern California after starting 1-2, and the #2 seed in the PCRFU.
