The Eagles advanced into the HSBC World Rugby Cup finals against New Zealand (11:35 p.m. today) by going 2-1 in the first day of the Sydney Sevens Tournament.

After strong wins over Wales 42-0, and Japan 33-17, the Eagles fell short against England losing 17-12 (12-7).
