Lindenwood, Life, Penn State and Dartmouth are spread across four pools as the top seeds, as 16 women’s teams look to compete for the Penn Mutual Collegiate Rugby Championship title June 3-4 at Talen Energy Stadium in suburban Philadelphia.

The Running Eagles of Life snapped a three-year Penn State winning streak last year. The Nittany Lions will be back again along with Life, but it’s the Lions of Lindenwood who enter the tournament as the favorite, having defeated Life in two tournament finals already this spring.

It’s no coincidence that these four top seeds have a number of highly decorated players split amongst them. There are seven players expected to compete in the CRC which also played for Team USA in the 2014 Youth Olympics in Nanjing, China – Richelle Stephens, Dana Olsen and Tiffany Person of Lindenwood, Tess Feury of Penn State, Kat Ramage and Becca Jane Rosko of Dartmouth, and Life’s Whitney Wilson.
