England and France scored easy victories in Pool A and Pool C to remain undefeated at 2-0. The key contests for each team will be the third game against better rivals when France play Australia (2-0) and England play rival Canada (2-0).

The Red Roses made short work of Spain 45-5, while France enjoyed a non-taxing game against Samoa, winning 55-3. Both XVs scored four or more tries to gain the bonus point.

Currently, of the five remaining undefeated teams, England lead with 110 total game points scored (16 tries) with France second at 81 points (13 tries).

With Ireland clinching the Pool B title, the three remaining semi-final spots will be decided Saturday, August 9.
