Rugby Today has received some last-minute travel updates from the French Rugby Federation concerning the Women’s Rugby World Cup in Paris, commencing August 1.
The RER B Train to Marcoussis
The Blue B line (running from Charles de Gaulle airport north and south) makes two Massy stops, but you want the second one, MASSY-PALAISEAU. Round trip about 10€. A free shuttle takes you from the station to the Centre National de Rugby at Marcoussis.
Semi-Finals and Finals
These games will be held at Jean Bouin Stadium, reachable by the Metro.
Station: Michel-Ange Molitor on line 10
Station : Porte de Saint-Cloud on line 9
It’s less than 10 minutes’ walk from the station to the Stadium.
In Paris, metro tickets are 1€70 for one fare or purchase a block of ten metro tickets for 13.70€. (Called a carnet)
You’ll want to go by Metro to Porte D’Orelans (last stop) and take taxi from there. Cost 50 to 60€. The problem of the return is that there will not be taxis available at the CNR.
Ask Siri. Time on route is between 20 and 30-minutes. Parking is available in the town of Marcoussis.
