The World Rugby U-20 twelve team tournament in England began on June 4th with five predictable results and one major upset as Scotland defeated Australia 15-10, the only northern hemisphere victory against a southern hemisphere fifteen.

New Zealand routed Georgia 55-0, Argentina beat France 24-15, and South Africa walloped Japan 59-19. England had an easy time, defeating Italy 48-10.

The action resumes this Saturday June 11th in the second round. The team that finishes last will be relegated to the U-20 Trophy Championship in 2017, when Samoa will replace the bottom squad.

The World Nations Cup, a lesser test tournament, is also taking place in Bucharest, Romania, featuring four tier two sides and Argentina A and Italy A. Los Pumas beat Spain 44-8, and Romania was a winner over Namibia 20-8. Italy A narrowly defeated Uruguay 26-24.
