The second round of the U20 tournament in Avchala Stadium, Tbilisi, Georgia witnessed reigning champion England's victory over Wales 34-22. The Red Roses led throughout via three short yardage tries, and culminating in a drop goal by Max Malins, the Saracens' fly-half.

New Zealand's Baby Blacks continued their pursuit of the title with a 68-26 rout of Italy.

South Africa 38 - Georgia 14

Australia 33 - Samoa 26

New Zealand 68 - Italy 26

France 26 - Argentina 25

Scotland 32 - Ireland 28

The third round continues Thursday, June 8.

At tournament's end, the teams will be slotted one to twelve, with the last place team relegated for 2018.
