New York and Seattle now know who they're pooled with for the second World Club 7s Aug. 16-17 at Twickenham in London, and the draws aren't very easy.
In Pool A, New York is joined by the Western Province (RSA), Siberian club RC Enisei and the winners of the Premiership 7s, which will be decided Aug. 8. The first leg of the Premiership 7s kicks off Saturday in Cardiff, Wales.
In Pool C, Seattle is joined by Russian side Kuban Krasnodar, Auckland (NZ) and the Waratahs (AUS). Seattle may be smart to ask New York for some footage and pointers in regards to the Kiwis, as New York is pitted against Auckland in Pool A of the Limerick, Ireland version of World Club 7s Aug. 9-10 at Thomond Park, along with the Blue Bulls (RSA) and Saracens.
In the Irish tournament, San Francisco draws host Munster, Daveta (Fiji) and the Moscow Saracens.
In both events, pool play will be played out on the first day, followed by Cup, Plate and Shield brackets on the second.
