A revitalized Australian team beat the USA 26 -19 to take the bronze medal in Hong Kong. The Aussies broke out to a 14-0 lead and never lost it although the Eagles twice reduced the gap at 14-12, and 21-19. The USA previously held Australia to five points in other games in the 2016-2017 series. Australia now trail the USA by only two points in the circuit standings where the Eagles are fifth.... The Hong Kong 7s of 1992 continued the Fiji Men’s dominance as they won their third consecutive Hong Kong event (their seventh overall) going 5-0 in tournament play. The Fijians outscored opponents 144-16, winning matches by a 26 point per game average.

Scottish eyes are smiling for a change. The Men’s and Women’s sides achieved rare, double Six Nations victories on the weekend as both teams beat Wales.
