Rugby East in DI-A really gets going with all four teams in the conference in action.

Stung by a 59-5 loss to Kutztown, Delaware will want to redeem themselves against Penn State.

PSU was stung also, losing a friendly 45-15 against Life.

Director of Rugby Don Ferrell said he was not too disappointed with that game, which saw flanker Kevin Kimble break out a little bit.

"It was a pretty close game until late when we made some unforced errors and they ran in three or four tries on us," Ferrell said. "Until then we felt we were in the game and I was really pleased with the forwards.

Dan Sweeney stepped in the play fullback on short notice and acquitted himself very well. But key for Penn State this weekend will be playing more error-free rugby.

Army will face Kutztown after West Point battled gamely against NYAC this past weekend.

"I think we need to run the phases a bit better," said Director of Rugby Rich Polidahl. "I thought we played some good, open rugby. We rested some guys so they would be ready for the first league weekend."

It will be a running game, for certain, as both KU and Army like to move the ball. Therefore it could come down to the pack, and Army has a big, very big, in fact, group of forwards who do a good job in tight.
